Shirt Cannon Shirts for the Tulsa Oilers

If you have been to a Tulsa Oilers hockey game, you know the moment. The horn sounds for intermission, the Zambonis roll out to resurface the ice, and the Oilers Ice Girls skate out with shirt cannons aimed at the stands. Every shirt that flies into the crowd was screen printed and rolled by hand right here at Rhodes Printing.

Almost 400 shirts, rolled by hand

Getting a shirt to fly out of a cannon and land in the upper rows takes more than good aim. Every shirt has to be rolled tight and wrapped with rubber bands so it holds its shape in the barrel and stays together in the air. For this batch our crew rolled and banded almost 400 shirts, one at a time, so they would be ready to load the moment the Oilers needed them.

Free shirts for Oilers fans at every intermission

We have donated shirt cannon shirts to the Tulsa Oilers for years now, and we plan to keep doing it. During intermission, while the Zambonis are resurfacing the ice, the Ice Girls launch the shirts into the crowd and our logo goes up on the jumbotron. Fans go home with a free shirt, and thousands of Tulsa hockey fans see who printed it. That is a trade we will make every time.

The Tulsa Oilers screen printer since 2019

Rhodes Printing has been the exclusive screen printer for the Tulsa Oilers since 2019, for both hockey and football. Fan giveaways, staff shirts, hoodies and promo tees all come off our presses, just down the road from Tulsa. The shirt cannon shirts are a small part of that work, but they might be our favorite.
